Healthy Skin by Decade 40’s
The deeper lines, blotchiness and dry looking skin people see at this age are attributed to the loss of dermal elastin and collagen that supports the epidermis (thin outermost layer of skin). Again, this damage is due to decades of sun exposure. Skin creams with peptides, which are small chains of protein molecules, have been shown in some studies to stimulate collagen production and plump the skin. High Anti-Oxidant Night Repair is extremely beneficial.
While moisturizers won’t slow down the aging process, they are useful for soothing increasingly raw or irritated skin and can help strengthen collagen. Another effective skin care alternative is a formula containing lactic acid, like Time Erase, which is also excellent for this age group.
Put the brakes on the aging process with L'BRI Night Repair Treatment. A powerful blend of antioxidant protectants and age-defying ingredients designed to do their hardest work while you are fast asleep. Night Repair contains clinically proven peptides along with a high ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) combination of fruit blends dedicated to shielding your skin from the daily onslaught of free radical damage. It stimulates collagen production, firms and strengthens skin, and leaves your face looking fresh, radiant and rested come morning.
Skin Care Ingredients to Avoid
There is quite a difference. I use Aloe Vera Barbadensis as the first ingredient in all our Skincare formulations while most other skin care formulations use water. Why water? It is more readily available and, of course, less costly to the company. I encourage you to take a look at and compare other product ingredient listings. I do not use waxes in any of our skincare formulations. Waxes, such as beeswax, carnauba wax, candela wax, and paraffin can clog the pores creating enlarged pores, blackheads, and whiteheads. We also do not use any mineral, petrolatum, or lanolin oil. These are considered "skin suicide" ingredients because over a period of time they can actually dehydrate the skin. L'BRI products are also free of drying alcohols. Any product that says, "keep away from the eye area" should be avoided. These drying alcohols can cause the "lipids" of the skin to become brittle over a period of time. The lipids actually begin to flatten out causing the skin to lose its contour -- similar to a balloon losing air. My goal in formulating L'BRI was to create a natural skincare line using ingredients that would heal and nurture the skin. We use an abundance of herbs, botanicals, and vitamins.
After researching different products for many years, it was interesting to note that many companies claimed that their products were natural. However, when researching the ingredients, we found that these products contained only a small amount of vitamins and herbs that were commonly found at the END of the ingredient listing. That means that the amounts were included primarily for what is called "good label copy." Legally, they can say their products contain natural ingredients, but the amount is so small that they do not really benefit the skin. L'BRI products are free of any synthetic fragrances and artificial FD&C dyes. Any coloring we use comes from nature: such as chlorophyll from plants, beet juice, and vitamin B12. What makes L'BRI unique is not only what is in our products, but also what is not. A nickel is too much to spend on a product that contains "fillers" such as waxes, crude oils, and harsh preservatives, DEA, BHT, and others. Our mission, of course, is to educate consumers on what they use to take care of their skin. Every company says their products are the best, however, by reading ingredient labels you will be able to see for yourself if the products you are using are really pure and natural.
Ingredients are listed in order of quantity. First ingredient is the most. Last ingredient is the least. Take the L'BRI PURE n' NATURAL challenge. Look at the ingredients in the products you are currently using and compare them to L'BRI PURE n' NATURAL. Note the difference!
